TCARES uses a standardized Readiness Condition system (RECON) to guide member posture and response. These levels communicate the operations status of TCARES and expectations for member behavior during exercises and real incidents.
Normal readiness status. No emergency is currently underway, and TCARES is operating under routine conditons. All members are reminded to monitor TCARES primary frequencies, attend nets, and maintain readiness for activation or deployment.
TCARES has been notified of potential activation. There is potential for an incident in the near future. Members are required to review your go-kits and monitor primary frequencies for more information.
TCARES is standing by for imminent activation. An incident is expected soon, or is already developing. All members are directed to prepare for deployment, check in to net on primary frequencies, and report availability for deployment to Net Control or to the Emergency Coordinator.
TCARES has been activated. Full activation. Members should deploy to assigned locations, or to the EOC as directed by Net Control or the Emergency Coordinator. Members are conducting emergency operational duties at this time.
Current mission has concluded or been canceled. TCARES members are released from duty and directed to demobilize. Members should be prepared to conduct post-operation reviews.
